Prayer for a Renewed Spirit - Weekly Prayer

Prayer:Dear heavenly father, with the news every day telling us of something new to be worried about, keep our hearts from becoming stone. Give us compassion and empathy for those around us who are hurting. Allow us to be a light for you in these dark times and let others see and wonder about the hope within us. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

As you pray, meditate on these words from Ezekiel 36:26-27.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."

My prayer is the same as the beloved David, "create in me a clean heart O 'God and renew a right spirit within me."
Please give me a heart of flesh and a single- minded purpose to serve you all my days.

I pray for labourers to be raised up among us that hold no fear or shame in sharing the gospel. Renew a right spirit in us Father as you help us to remember not only what brought us to Christ but also what keeps us there. Forgive us for all those times when we shy away from the opportunities to introduce you to others. Amen

Heavenly Father thank you for the faithfulness and mercy your have shown my family and I during these turbulent and uncertain times. Lord I have seen and witnessed your loving and guiding hands in the outcomes we are experiencing. Thank you even though I confess I have not been faithful in my devotions and spending time in Your word. Lord please give me the strength to resist the daily distractions, Amen!
