PRAYER: Father, thank you for your goodness to us. Thank you for making us in your image. So many people around us are hurting. So many people around us are longing to find wholeness and peace. I pray you will help us see people as you see people. Help us to make time in our busy schedules to connect with those who are far from you. May we treat others with gentleness and respect. In Jesus' name, Amen.
As you pray, meditate on these words from
Luke 19:41-44.
“But as he came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep. “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side. They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not recognize it when God visited you.”I also invite you to pray with me live - today on Back to the Bible Facebook page, at 10:30am CT:
