Day 4
A Thrill of Hope
A thrill of hope
The weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks
A new glorious morn
~from “O Holy Night”
It’s no wonder that the Bible describes hope as “an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast” (Hebrews 6:19). In a world of turbulence, conflict, and instability, we are easily tossed on the stormy seas.
But there is hope.
The hope that Christ offers is not a shallow “I sure hope it all turns out okay in the end!” kind of hope. The hope that believers have in Jesus Christ is a hope based on the promises of a God who cannot lie, who has never failed, and who is always good.
On Christmas day, hope was symbolized by an infant Child. Just as the Child did, hope grows, hope acts, and hope ultimately conquers.
Have you experienced the “thrill of hope” that comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ?
