Day 16 - The Lyrics of Christmas

Day 16 

To the Place Where He Is Gone 

And our eyes at last shall see Him, 

Through His own redeeming love; 

For that Child so dear and gentle 

Is our Lord in heaven above, 

And He leads His children on 

To the place where He is gone. 

Not in that poor lowly stable, 

With the oxen standing by, 

We shall see Him; but in heaven, 

Set at God’s right hand on high; 

Where like stars His children crowned 

All in white shall wait around.

Not only did God come to earth to dwell among us. Not only did He teach and instruct us in both word and deed. Not only did He give His life as a sacrifice for our sins. He promises we will spend eternity with Him.  

His promise was explicit: “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2–3). 

One day, we will be with Jesus. 

What hope we have! What a future awaits us! What an amazing Savior!
