He will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times, so that many will thank God for your gifts which they receive from us. For this service you perform not only meets the needs of God's people, but also produces an outpouring of gratitude to God.
Pray: "It is wonderful to be grateful and to sing your praises, LORD Most High! It is wonderful each morning to tell about your love and at night to announce how faithful you are" (
Psalm 92:1-2, CEV).
Reflect: What are some practical gestures of thanksgiving that might positively affect others? How is giving a part of thanksgiving? In what ways has someone's generosity toward you provoked you to be generous to someone else?
Respond: Many people practice mutual hospitality during the Thanksgiving season, such as having a family over for shared meals. This year, consider inviting someone who won't be able to reciprocate. With whom can you practice some hospitality to strangers?
