God, be merciful to us and bless us; look on us with kindness, so that the whole world may know your will; so that all nations may know your salvation. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you! May the nations be glad and sing for joy, because you judge the peoples with justice and guide every nation on earth. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you! The land has produced its harvest; God, our God, has blessed us. God has blessed us; may all people everywhere honor him.
Pray: "It is wonderful to be grateful and to sing your praises, LORD Most High! It is wonderful each morning to tell about your love and at night to announce how faithful you are" (
Psalm 92:1-2, CEV).
Reflect: What was the last observation you made that sparked gratitude to God in your heart? What is your favorite exclamation of praise in worship? Why? What can you do to express your gratitude for God's faithfulness?
Respond: The world is still a place of nations and peoples that are dimly aware of God, but have never heard the Good News about Jesus Christ. Thanksgiving season is also a season of prayer for the harvest of souls that God desires from His creation.
