Chapter 5 - A Glimpse of What's to Come

"Every now and then you get a glimpse, don't you? In a sunset, a sunrise, a hike in the mountains, or maybe a special day with friends and family. The joy, delight, beauty, and wonder you feel in those moments is because you're catching a glimpse of the world you've always longer for in your heart. you're catching a glimpse of your true home." (Life After Death p. 83).

Revelation 21
Revelation 22

1. C. S. Lewis once observed, "If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next." Do you think that's true? Why or why not?

2. How does a right view of heaven affect how you live today? How does understanding that on this earth will be redeemed rather than annihilated affect how you treat the earth today?

3. What does it mean to you to begin establishing a heavenly value system on earth as citizens of heaven? What does this look like practically?

(Did you know we have a reading plan for C. S. Lewis' Mere Christianity? Check it out here: https://bttb.org/mere-christianity)

When , I stop to remember this is not my real home/. because of so much evil, one day Jesus will call me home, when I’ve completed the work he has for me to do here on earth. Sometimes it’s just a struggle, that makes me more grateful, and faithful, Heaven, where my Savior, no more doubt, fear, pain , crying- No More Night!!!!!
