Chapter 2 - Is There Life After Death?
"Many people in our culture today say they believe in some sort of mystical life after death. But those same people often find the idea that Jesus physically rose from the dead to be silly--to the point of ridicule. But consider what a leap of faith they are taking: on the one hand, they deny the Resurrection of Jesus, which, as you've seen, can be supported within history. On the other hand, they hold firmly to an opinion of life after death that's based in nothing but their own emotions. But you can confidently root your belief and understanding in life after death in the historical Resurrection of Jesus." (Life After Death p. 27)
1 Corinthians 15
1. In what ways in our culture do you see an interest or curiosity concerning what happens after you die?
2. Read 1 Corinthians 15:12-19. What is the relationship between believing in a Resurrection of the dead for those who believe and the Resurrection of Jesus?
3. Read 1 Corinthians 15:58. What is the practical response to this great promise and hope of a resurrection?
4. According to 1 Corinthians 15:58, this truth should dramatically affect how we live. List five practical ways this truth should affect your life today?

Those who do not believe in the birth, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, still believe in "something" because they are afraid of death. We who believe have no fear of death for it is the beginning of a new life in Heaven with God in all His glory. A new person, a new body, and a new name. Praise God for his deliverence Amen
Faith isn’t something I can see, it’s what I believe, and control’s the way I think , and act. If Jesus had not risen from the dead , my life would stop when I die, but He did , and because I do believe He died for me, and now Christ spirit lives in me, Everyone’s soul will spend eternity somewhere, God gives us free will / Heaven , or hell . I also believe that non believers have no true peace while here on earth, and to spend eternity totally separated from God , is a very sad thing.
