"What's the big deal with the Bible? It's so old. Written by many men. What's the big deal?" This is the sentiment of many today.
The apostle John answers this question at the end of his gospel.
John 20:30-31 says, "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
Now, John is specifically talking about his gospel. But the Bible is the story of creation, fall, redemption, and future. It is there to answer life's biggest questions.
Ultimately, it is there so you may believe in Jesus. It's there so you might have a relationship with God through His Son. The Bible is there to say, "I love you" from the King of the universe.
What's the big deal with the Bible? It was written so you may believe.
