My son recently asked me, "Who created God?" That's a mind-blowing question. But there is an answer.
All created things have a beginning.
All created things must have a creator.
God had no beginning.
Therefore, God has no creator.
"Lord, through all the generations you have been our home! Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God" (Psalm 90:1-2).
Because God is the one true God, He has no beginning and has no end. For God to be God, by His very nature, he must be outside of time and space. He is the uncaused first cause.
Reflect: Read Genesis 1. What does this passage teach us about God? What does it teach us about mankind?
Respond: God is the creator, designer, and sustainer of the universe. How does that impact how you live today?
