Saying that all religions say the same thing is like saying all liquid is the same; or like saying all medication is the same.
True, they may contain similar ingredients or shape, but we know arsenic and Tylenol are two different things. Gasoline and Coke Zero are very different things.
This same reality is true for religions. Don't all religions say the same thing? Well, sure they may have some similarities, but they are very different.
The telos or goal of each religion is different. The founders are different. The religious practices are different. Their view of God is very different.
Listen to the conversation Jesus had in John 8:31-33, "So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and
you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”
So many people are slaves to false religion. Many Christians are slaves to false teaching.
Today, pursue truth. Study God's Word. When you do, you shall be free indeed!
Reflect: What was your view of God and religion before Christ? How has Christ freed you?
Respond: Who is one person you can share the truth of Christ with? Pray for them and then go share it.
