Grandparenting is not much easier because I see all results from my parenting days on display in my kids and I don’t want them to pass on the bad but on the good things we taught them. Yet I know only God can interrupt the cycle as I repent, ask forgiveness from our kids, and pray about it, leaving it all in God’s hands and timing.

What a great perspective. Yes, we are always "on" duty and being watched. We must always remain humble in our relationships with our kids and grandkids!

I learned how to parent correctly from reading the Bible, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the advice of godly friends.

I find it odd that we've largely become an independent society to the point of parenting in a bubble. It seems like it use to take a village to raise a kid. Now it is Youtube instead of the village.
