Thank you for this message it was refreshing to hear of Paul's Gospel the gospel of grace.
Many ppl of the church don't realize (From what I hear all the time) that there are two gospels in the Bible the circumcised and the un-circumcised or Kingdom gospel and the gospel of grace. I hear sermons all the time about repent & be saved where that message was for the Jewish economy under the law verses 'believe and you will be saved' (John 3:16) just to mention one reference.
Yes, once you are a 'Believer' (1 Cor 15) nothing we can do will snatch us from Jesus's grip. Unless you never was a believer just in sheep's clothing. Here's a thought. During the 120 yrs of building the Ark Noah hired workers that never actually believed and was left to drown. Can the same be said of the workers in the church today?

That's true repentance is for all that are saved. When the Spirit of God draws us to Himself & we respond we appropriate God's free gift His Son. We repent bc we are saved first repenting is necessary for our regeneration of course that's for both Jew & gentile.
The lost person doesn't have the ability to repent. Sure they can say sorry & feel bad for a wrong and the Holy Spirit will attempt to knock at their door during those times.
I read Jonathan Edwards work in Freedom of the Will and he describes how the Spirit of God will hover on the outside of the non believer but not inside of him like He does the believer.

Thanks for your comments bill. The message of repentance is for everyone, not just the Jews. We just turn from our sin and turn to Christ. We must change our thinking. That's true for Jew and Gentile.
Regarding your question of church workers today, Matthew 7 answers this question: "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’" Jesus' answer isn't comforting, but it is the truth. There are false converts. People who do the work of God, but never repent and believe.
My prayer is that each person who comes in the door at Back to the Bible comes to saving faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
