Yes, the problem is, with EXCUSES we do not deal with or remedy the greatest problem.
Yes, our greatest problem is sin. We need a fixer to fix that greatest problem.
**This have nothing to do with one people group being sinless and another people group being sinful. **
--According to Jews, Gentiles were sinners by nature because they had no law to guide them in proper living and how to please God.
--The Jews were God's chosen people. They were children of the Abrahamic covenant, but they were still sinners too.
--The difference between both it's the law that guided them.
***A good family can open a lot of doors here on earth, how much does it matter to God? ***
--Paul points back to their heritage (Jews), and his accomplishments, but then says all that it's garbage (nothing).
--nothing we do, nothing from our past and nothing of our ancestry can save us, if not the blood of Christ.
**** How to find salvation? ****
--Paul said in three different ways that we are not saved because of what we can do, if not by what Jesus Christ has done.
--no amount of rule following can make a person righteous before God.
--no amount of law abiding can make us justified (is legal term, means to be declared righteous or without blame) before him.
**** Why NO ONE can be saved by their own good works? **** Because the Bible declares it and history confirms it, that there is none righteous, not even one, no one seeks after God. We are all sinners.
****Paul reminds us that we are dead in our trespasses and sins without Christ, and that WE NEED a Savior. ****
--Religion won't save you; your family heritage or faith background will not save you.
--Only JESUS CHRIST can save us. Only HIS BLOOD will clean us from all sin.
Yes, Christ saves each person individually as a gift through faith.
Yes, Salvation is a gift alone. I can't earn. I can't buy it. I can't win it.
So, we also have to believe in Christ Jesus in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law as Paul and others did.
Yes, I did believe it. I am living it. And You?

Lord Jesus, I believe in the hymn that says: what can was away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus. So thank You for shedding Your precious blood on my behalf.
Lord I thank you for the gift of salvation.
"Lord Jesus, only by Your Grace are we saved. Please use me to bring others to God, knowing that we can all be saved by Grace if we just believe. Amen."
