Thank you for the message for me it has helped me grow spiritually and it helps me a lot when I hear you three talk about the gospel for me it is all about hearing examples and stories thank you
As for you, be sober-minded, endure suffering , do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Thank you for your words. I did do my homework, in fact, this conclusion was after study and listening to many theologians before me. So, though, we are not all evangelists, we are called to share the good news (the gospel) with people. We are all called to do the work of an evangelist. I hope this helps.
Thank you Pastor Nat!!
Nat-- You stated in today's broadcast that we are "ALL" to do the work of the evangelist. That is NOT scripturally accurate. You should do your homework more diligently. Just because Paul, or others, may exhort people in their time and place to evangelize those around them, does NOT mean for ALL and forever. We are ALL given gifts, but these gifts are sometimes different one from another. Rather than use Paul's instructions to his contemporaries as the standard, I would encourage you to use Paul's own words elsewhere also to confirm that standard. In this way, one would be interpreting scripture in light of scripture. A good example of this would be in Ephesians 4:11 "And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, "
So here we are nearing the end of our series "Growing and Going." How have you grown by getting back to the Bible?
Great illustration pastor nat! To amp up , can mean to be willing to face the difficult circumstances God uses for growth...to stop thinking of our own comfort , to reach out to a hurting ,scared ,angry people. we have hope grounded in truth. To reflect an inner peace in the center of this Satanic hurricane. Never tire of the battle Nat, Cara and Arnie...
