Pastor Nat just got your reply the verse in which you mentioned is to all sin. I listed very clearly for you two different links that in fact speak to the verses you gave as well to this verse you are trying to use for sex yes as a whole not as to sexuality. We speak of interpretation but that is what you give daily. It is not just these who did the articles their several on just this topic even in Matthew. When reading the Holly Bible we each do so seeking God's message, truth but never can we put God in a box for He is Greater than we. I have spoken to this issue with other's worldwide as well as I stated. That includes my Dad which understanding was as your's is. That being said "interpretation" is what we read as even though we can debate this issue. I can come back to to many books of The Holly Bible that speak to this and all sin for no sin is greater, we are to live by The commandments. Thank You for again giving your interpretation of The Holly Bible.
Joey, thanks for the articles. While I appreciate the scholars' desire to address the topic biblically, they stray from the historical interpretation on this topic. A book to pick up is "The Bible and Homosexual Practice" by Robert Gagnon. Generally speaking, any new "interpretation" of Scripture should be heavily questioned in my opinion. You are right that sin is the problem and brings God's judgment. Regardless of the root of the problem, homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible (Rom 1:26-27, 1 Cor. 6:9). I like how one person continued from the text of 1 Cor. 6:11: "No matter our proclivities or attractions, we cannot continue to define ourselves by the very sins that crucified Jesus—and at the same time assume we are right with God. Paul lists many of the sins that the Corinthians once practiced (homosexuality is on the list). But in 1 Corinthians 6:11, he reminds them, 'That is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God'. In other words, some of the Corinthians, before they were saved, lived homosexual lifestyles; but no sin is too great for the cleansing power of Jesus. Once cleansed, we are no longer defined by sin." Thanks as always for the dialogue!
When I fully understood about sex, only in marriage this is where God has in tented to be more orportant.
Well said pastor nat
No one is free from the battle. We all battle in the mind and by God's grace we can acting upon those thoughts.
Thanks for wrestling here, Joey. I am thankful you are willing to publically disagree. I am curious what you do with a passage like Genesis 1:26-28? Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” It says God created them male and female. Adam was male by creation. Eve was female by creation. They didn't get to choose. Genesis 5:2 says, "Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created." We know what we can do anything, but not everything is profitable. That's the Apostle Paul said in 1 Cor. 10:23. So people can stray from God's design, but that doesn't mean it's profitable or God-honoring. So sincerely, thank you for voicing your thoughts.
Carolyn, what you are experiencing, we experience here in Nebraska. It's pervasive throughout the culture. It's a struggle to know how to approach people who struggle or those who force this viewpoint on us. One thing I keep in mind is we are dealing with real people. And each person has a story that has influenced them. At the end of the day, it is the Holy Spirit who saves and changes the heart and then the lives of the saved. It's not the behavior first. The gospel is foolishness to a world that is folly. I am praying for opportunities to scatter the seeds of the gospel with your words and water with how you live and work.
Think you pastor Nat I have some struggles of my own Thank you Lord for making in a scape for being tempted
Hi Joey , I’d like to kinda, weigh in on your comment if I may. I agree with pastor nat that there is a lot of confusion where sexuality is concerned, especially in the church . It would seem , We the church have an opportunity and responsibility to model life’s that reflect Gods holiness . That includes teaching the word. To test every spirit . I would be amiss if I didn’t use the Bible to use as a blueprint. I have always known the Bible is silent on some things . This IS not one of those topics. Sometimes I’ve noticed that when there’s debate , sin is always present. So I try to reason if it’s me or someone else who is in error . That’s when I will find out weather or not my thinking is flawed. After all according to jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceitfully wicked who can know it . Also Paul wrote the thing I want to do I neglect. The thing that I don’t want to do , that I do. Oh , wretched man that I am. This is to show that sin is always present in us the . So let’s call sin sin and ask Our Lord for his leading. Y B I C
Psalm 116:1–2 “I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” “Pray. As you talk to Heavenly Father and pour out your heart to Him, you will draw closer to Him. Then pause, stop, and listen to the feelings of your heart. Seek to understand the promptings of the Spirit. As you pray sincerely, you will come to feel Heavenly Father’s great love for you.”
Pastor Nat today you and I disagree 100% on what you said about gender. In fact we are not all make and female again fact. As well we can not choose and pick verses from The Holly Bible to fit a topic. I believe I stated this to you previously when I asked you to listen to WBCL. God speaks further on this issue and as we know God does not make mistakes. Jesus said I died for you "come to me as you are", not as male or female. That is a short truth. I have spoke on this issue with many others who call themselves men of God from around the world. Now I can agree that two become one when they come together as partners in life and abide by be completely monogamous to God and each other. That being said you know again how I feel about you as a person from things I have posted. I simply have to disagree with what you said today. I would not be the only one. Sexual sin can be as easy as a man or woman looking at another with lustful thoughts. Let me stop here for I don't believe it is the place for discussion on this issue. Still have the respect for as I have from start. Let us never put God in a box or translations as the complete understanding of God's Word. Still Thankful and Blessed to have you as a coach.
It’s difficult to be in the world when not of it. Imagine how our Lord feels when He sees, hears and feels everyone’s pain, behavior and thoughts. As a nurse, I saw much pain and now as a nurse practitioner in these times, it seems worse. I pray, I pray everyday and sometimes every hour of the day depending on my shift. God will take care of the rest. Amen In Jesus name
Amen! God is so good !
Great video great message thanks.
Keep your light shining for Jesus🌟, Carolyn. The Holy Spirit lives in you, radiates like a light tower in the dark, there will be someone who wI'll see the light shining.. 🙏Amen.
God's precepts do not change with the time.
Helpful , thanks!
This is such a strange lesson to me. I am a crime victim advocate (Meaning I assist victims in crime through the criminal justice system). The thing is my small department is only half of my agency. I live in Albany, NY which is very liberal. The other half of my agency is the rape crisis center. My agency is so WOKE, I can't take it. They believe there are like 10 or so genders. That your gender is fluid. That everything about sex is okay, as long as it's mutual (and age appropriate). They put their preferred pronouns as the end of their name. Whatever is the latest "new thing, my agency jumps at it". I hate it...and over the last few years it has gotten so bad..so out of control. I go there and there is really nothing I can do. I can't do outreach with them. I need my job. It's just so draining. Pretty soon I can see them taking away the word "woman"...because I think that's something new in the making......... Also they will say that their significant other is their "partner", not boyfriend/girlfriend, or spouse. I know it's so little... but so many little things together become something so big...... I just don't get it.
Praise him,Hallelujah
