Pastor Nat, this touched me deeply, especially in a circumstance in our son's life right now. Thank you for your wise words. Please pray for his full repentance that will lead him back to God. He has been living a prodigal life for many years and is in a terrible season of great regret but still needs that repentance that will bring him home to his heavenly Father where he can experience His forgiveness and restoration. (Also, thank you for pointing out that Jeremiah was a "type" of Christ. Great insight and timely as I just finished the book of Jeremiah.)

Sherry, I am sorry your son is in the wilderness. I was there many years ago. I wish I could take those years back but God did not waste them. I believe His grace allowed that time to change and mold me into the person I needed to become. I am praying he returns soon.
Heavenly Father thank you for your grace and mercy and your guidance great Is your faithfulness
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guiding hand in my life and for the many times You had to discipline me in order to bring me in line. Because You love me, You gave me chance after chance so that I may be restored, and I thank You for Your renewed mercies toward me.
