I really needed to hear this today, because of the political crisis going on in congress. I am deeply concerned about the direction our nation is going in, may His will be done!

'Already and not yet' Amen.

It's just like bible prophecy that has two fulfillments like when Jesus in the temple read Luke 4:17-21 and sat down halfway thru it & told them that this scripture is fulfilled in their ears. Luke was quoting I think Isiah 61:1-2 and verse 2 was describing the tribulation. Thats why He stopped & sat down. That still has to get fulfilled.

Jesus being God of course knew that the church age had to happen still but the disciples & Jewish believers thought the tribulation was out in front of them yet. Heck they didn't even understand that their messiah had to die it was kept from them even though Jesus told them (Went over their heads) and it was in their Torah or they would of camped out on the 3rd day by His grave site. They wrongly thought Jesus was going to usher in the Kingdom in their lifetime.

I think that was the mystery the old the testament talked about? The church age or that the gentiles being grafted in or it's both? I'm just learning. I think it's the church age bc Paul was already reaching out to the gentiles.

Isaiah 61:2 "To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;"

But yes, Amen. The 'Already and not yet' triggered me :)

Under the old covenant the mystery was the gentiles being saved under the new covenant in Jesus days the mystery was the church age. But it wasn't a mystery to God.

I think it goes like that.
