Lord Jesus, keep my lips from making my boast in things which the world glorifies. Please remind me that it is in You and in Your Calvary experience that counts for that which is worthy, should any bit of pride be expressed. Help me to be more like You in all that I do. Amen.
Today I got angry at my mom because I felt she acted very poorly when a church guest came over for a visit. I didn't like what was said in front of a guest. I don't know if my pride was hurt or if I was truly angry at the behavior. All I know is that her little out burst affected me more then it affected the guest!
When I confronted my mom when it was just me and her, she said I ruined her day. Could I have let my pride overwhelm me to the point that I hurt my mom in the process?
Anyway, we both ended up saying sorry. Praise the Lord! He is always Good.
