Lord Jesus, I confess that without You, I can achieve little and I'll be nothing. Lord, as I look to You, I ask for Your divine help in establishing my identity that is to be found in You only. And as I grow in faith, use me for Your purpose to let others know just who You are. Amen.
Yes, I am called by God to glorify His Name in this world!
Yes, many of us have had a hard time understanding and figuring out our purpose in life.
Yes, if we pursue purpose with worldly principles like we can be whatever we want or dream, then we should expect a lot of heartache and disappointment.
Yes, the reason our first and highest calling has to be to God.
Yes, we can have lots of money and success and pleasure and still miss God's divine purpose if we're not in Christ.
Yes, Paul defends his calling not according to worldly principles, but according to Christ and by first beginning with his conversion.
Yes, our calling begins with knowing Christ, then we find the people that Christ has called us to and then we do the work that glorifies God.
Yes, the gospel does not call us to our own happiness, but to God and his people. And the work ultimately is about bringing glory to God by adding value to this world. Hallelujah!
Thank you, Lord, for called me. Help me to shine in the world and do what you called me for the people that need me and that I can glorify you in every way. Amen.

"Father God, I feel that I am called to serve You in some way, but I am not exactly sure what just yet. You see, I have my job, my career, but I want to serve You with all that I am. Just because I "feel" one way, does not mean my life will change according to my feeling. I want to know for sure what You have called me to do, and I pray that You reveal that calling soon, Lord. I don't want it it just be a "feeling" I want Your Certainty. Amen."
