Back to the Bible
2 years ago ( updated 2 years ago )
Hi everyone this is Andreea from BackToTheBible.

Today we will cover the new sharing & discipleship features.

First:
Let's look at how sharing works on an embedded page

This is the Spiritual Lift Encourager course embedded on GoTandem.Online

By clicking the new share button you can see that it links back to the embed location.
* If this is not working for you please contact us and we'll help you fix that.

Second:
Let's look at some more details on how you can make sharing better.
We will do that on the Spiritual Lift Encourager public description page. On the "Getting Started..." item let's click share, and then Facebook.

This is what happens with your sharing functions if you do nothing further:
Notice that the image and title are defaulted from the main course.
These will be the same for all tasks that are not customized for social sharing.

Now let's optimize the social sharing inputs for this task.
To do that I'll enter the admin
Click the 3 dot menu for the "Getting Started..." > Social Media

At the top is the title of the task, we suggest you leave that as-is.

Next is the description.
For this one we will close this window &
Copy the text from inside the task

Next we have key words. You can add any key word that match your content.
I'll add a few: spirituallift beengaged backtothebible bible biblestudy faith

And finally we have the image. I will upload an image for this item and save.

Going back to the description page, I will refresh, then back on the "Getting Started..." item let's click share, and then Facebook, same as we did the first time. You will now see my updated image and description.

For those of you familiar with search engine optimizations, these settings can also help improve your content ranking and help with a better visibility on search results.

This ends our presentation, reach out to us if you have any questions and don't forget: Sharing is discipleship.

Scheduled Messages
New function that allows admins to schedule a message to get pushed live at a certain date/time. The message will be created in the Pending area and will be moved to live along with all its dependencies, at a specific date and time.

Plans can have both copy and subscribe options enabled at the same time
Admins can set their plans to both copy and plan. The users will see both buttons and will chose if they want to subscribe or copy.
Please note that the SUBSCRIBE button remains with the custom Subscribe text, it will need to be edited to say Subscribe/Make a Copy (or any similar text) if both of these options are enabled.

Collapse comments Option
Admin have an option (located in the Plan Name area) that allows them to show comments collapsed in explore and embedded pages. Good for any case where you don’t want long pages.

Post as other
Super admins or co-owners can post as self or any other super admin or co-owner of the same plan.

Custom text on the subscribe button
We have released an option that allows you to customize the "Subscribe" button text, so that you can pick actions that are better fitted to your congregation. At the same time, we have organized settings on plans to help you reach your goals faster.

Inline commenting
We have release a new commenting mode on your embeds: inline. It applies to comments and replies.
Your congregates will no longer have to click on comments to post, their commenting area is visible on screen. Along with the commenting areas options to post, subscribe and login will appear based according to your settings and user status.

Admin Platform Visual Changes.
We have made some changes to how your BTTB admin platform looks. The key modification is that your home area is now image oriented, where inside plans are now color oriented.  We also added Plan level icons.  All these things are customizable.

Auto Subscribe Your Entire Congregation.
We now offer the ability to auto-subscribe your entire congregation, giving you more effective congregant communications and engagement.

E-Messaging to Your Church Website.
We added features that allow your e-messages to bring your congregants directly back to your website.

Click to Show Complete - Optional.
Many of you asked for this to be removable, simple request, and now it's done.

Integration Partners.
We've added even more integration partners, giving you access to some pretty amazing things, especially class and learning categories.

Group Bible Reading Plans.
We have and do allow you to bring Bible Reading Plans to your congregants. You can choose from pre-made plans, or create your own. You can even publish it to our members if you like. Embeded Page Example  Landing Page Example

Member Subscription Options.
We now allow you to be both much less and much more assertive in asking your congregants to subscribe. Depending on your goals, it can range from allowing no-subscription commenting to auto-subscribing your members. More Assertive Example  Less Assertive Example

No Left Menu on Embeds.
Some Churches have started to use only one item with many messages, so having a left menu is just in the way. We now allow you to remove the left menu from view in such cases. Example
Allow users to post comments and add reactions anonymously.
We now allow visitors to your church post comments, replies and react to your content, without them subscribing. You can turn this feature on/off based on what benefits it will bring to your congregation. The behavior for your subscribed congregates remains the same.
